Seattle Community College District (SCCD) faculty have many choices to access professional development abroad. The International Faculty Development Handbook is included here.

In addition, there is district funding to participate in exchanges, attend conferences and seminars abroad, lead study abroad groups or work on curriculum development projects.

The International Faculty Development Grant (IFDG) is a special designation of funds from the presidents of the SCCD to promote faculty development in the area of international understanding through travel and research abroad. Faculty have used these funds to facilitate a variety of initiatives overseas: research projects, guest lecturer, faculty exchange with one of our sister institutions abroad, international conference presentations, and participating in a faculty development workshop or seminar overseas.
