Seattle Colleges Institutional Effectiveness team engages in applied research and analysis to inform the decision-making of the Seattle Colleges Board of Trustees, leadership, and staff. These efforts are coordinated with Seattle Central, North Seattle, and South Seattle Colleges’ institutional effectiveness staff.
Seattle Colleges institutional effectiveness team develops and maintains strategic plan measures, manages IPEDS, coordinates the Community College Survey of Student Engagement, and produces as-needed analyses on topical issues.
Seattle Colleges institutional effectiveness team develops and maintains measures as part of the Seattle Colleges Strategic Plan. The dashboards highlight priority measures, historical trends, baselines, and targets. They are dynamic and encourage users to customize their inquiries. Select dashboards display enrollment by FTES and headcount and show trends compared to state targets.
Additional dashboards that provide overviews, such as Academic Year Reports, and progress on statewide initiatives can be found at the SBCTC site.
Quarterly enrollment reports provide the board of trustees and leadership overviews of district and college trends. Comparisons are made to state targets as well as past years. Additional focus is given to select student types (i.e. state funded, international, and running start).
Seattle Colleges institutional effectiveness team, in coordination with Seattle Central, North Seattle, and South Seattle Colleges, facilitates districtwide data requests on behalf of external researchers and institutional partners.
